another weekend coming up…..

I have no plans for the weekend.
Well we will probably watch Keira one night…..and when she is here I don’t get much else done except hang out with her.
I can just sit and watch her and play with her and hours fly by.

She is such a wonderful joy.

In five weeks I will be about ready to fly to Florida, spend a few days on the beach and then help drive Kathy home to Iowa.

I look at various jobs on line but know nothing will pay what I make now so I don’t think I can leave this job.
Even though I would like to.
But that is something I talk a lot about here and I don’t want to bore you.

tomorrow is Friday!!
Yes!!!

and then I will have two days that will fly by…like two hours and before I know it Monday morning will be apon us again.

do you watch American Idol?

I never use to but since we no longer have cable…. we are limited to what we can watch so we have  been watching American Idol.

Tonight they are having people from the midwest.
Located in Nebraska but one guy came from Iowa and others are coming from surronding states, I assume?
Anyway it embarasses me the way people act in this country.
It is really insane the people who make it on this show and then act like they are complete idoits or mentally retarded when they get there.
Makes me wonder what the world is coming to when we have these kind of people .
Ugh….

it is sooooo cold that……

we are having horrible winds tonight.
It is incredible and it is blowing so hard and howling so much that it is shoving cold air through windows on the west side of our house.
BURR!!!
Literally moving the curtains and window blinds because it is so strong.
I hate it being this cold.
Wish spring  was here!!!!

my “hon” is 34

the first boy I ever fell in love with is 34 years old today.
He was born when I was twelve and I was positive that I would never love one of my own children as much as I loved him.
Of course I was wrong.
I love my children more then anything else on earth but when my “hon” was born I thought he was my everything.
I’m not sure when we became eachother’s “hon’s” but we loved eachother very much and next to his mother  I think I was his favorite for a long time.
Of course now he is grown, married with a son and another child on the way….but he will always  have a certain place in my heart because he came first…..my first nephew.
I emailed him a happy birthday last night…..but..I’m not sure he checked email yet.
Anyway it makes me feel old, that my “hon” is 34.

mo money

I don’t want to do it.
I just don’t….but I NEED more money.

THe bills are too high for the money we are bringing in.
It is my own fault…..charge cards that I shouldn’t have been using…..

my bills to pay but I don’t want to get a second job.
I can’t even leave my current job for a different one because I would take at least $600 a month cut in pay and I need a second job not get less for my first job.

Summer is coming.
Working in the yard….taking walks….enjoying the days….
I don’t want another job.
I really don’t.
But I may not have a choice…..

how depressing

My baby Kaydo

a few weeks ago my oldest daughter took one of our dogs to try and see if she could train him and keep him.
In the process of taking this dog, our pug Toby, she left Kaydo behind…..lonely and a big baby now that he has no one to play with.
He is a good dog….but he NEEDS attention, a lot more then most dogs I think
He is hyper…..barks all of the time when people come over….bugs the cats so much that Isabel hates him.
But he is a good dog.
No one, not even his owner Emily has any patience for him.
I don’t have as much as I should but he has become my dog because I am the only one who pays attention to him

everyone else yells at him and tells him to get away.
Even Emily

and I take pity on him and love him up.
Right this minute he is on my lap as I write this.
He wants more attention then he is getting right now.
He wants to be petted and loved constantly.
But no one, not even I want to be that loving to him.
Still for the most part he is a good dog.
Just a bit hyper and a pain occasionally.
Did I mention he is a min/pin?

my Florida trip

In less then six weeks I will be flying to Florida to help my sister drive back so she can move home to Iowa.
I am going early and plan on enjoying some sun time to get a bit of a tan to start off the summer tanning  in Iowa.
Today my sister Kathy called me and said our youngest sister has expressed a desire to come down too and visit for a few days and or drive back with us.
I think it would be great fun for the three of us to have the trip together.
I’m not sure how thrilled Kathy would be with it but I do think it would be fun.
NOT that it wouldn’t be fun for just Kathy and I to do it.
But with Wanda there too it would be extra fun to have two of my closest sisters (friends)  together with me.

Of course it isn’t set in stone that Wanda will do it….weather she just comes to visit or makes the trip back with us…..but ….I’M SO LOOKING FORWARD TO THE TRIP!!!!
I wish it was CLOSER!!!!!

This weather

here we are January 28th and it was 55 degrees outside.
Amazing.
And the weather man just said by tomorrow night we are going to have snow…..he didn’t say how much snow but he said there will be delays and cancelations because of this snow.
Amazing.
My brother has said in his blog and I’ve heard others too say  “If you don’t like today’s weather in Iowa, wait a day”
Which today and tomorrow it is true.

I’m not sure if the little heat wave we had is a good thing or not.
I did clean my car and got all of the old dirt off of it but it is suppose to be raining by nine pm so…..it was all for nothing.
And even though it was nice today I worry about it being the cause of colds and or virus’ that will just make people sick.
???
Of course I could be wrong….but it is strange to think twenty four hours from now we are going to be back in winter.

My Saturday

The house is clean, and we are off to get groceries in Iowa City before we get the Keira later today for another evening.
May even go rent a few movies too.

Hate spending the money for groceries but we have to eat so……

guess that is what we will spend our little extra cash

want to know what happens when you drive too fast?????

This morning I got up and left home at five thirty to head to work.
Driving my usual 62 miles an hour.
Well I came apon Bothells corner and it was covered with snow…well I hit a icy patch and started heading for a car that was already in the ditch.
I turned the wheel too much and started fish tailing around the corner.
I had probably six cars behind me and one coming right towards me and I was losing control because I was driving too fast.
Well because I didn’t want to hit the other car head on, and didn’t want to cause anyone behind me to be involved in my reckless driving I hit the brakes and slid right into the ditch, after turning half way around.

I know I was lucky and I know I was stupid driving that fast on Bothells corner of all places.
There is a sign right there that says to go 40 around there.
Well I learned my lesson.
I didn’t get hurt and neither did my car probably because it was so damn cold that the ditch was filled with snow and it was all packed down and frozen.

lucky me, right?
