our trip thus far

We are in Denver Colorado and I must say I just saw a wonderfully beautiful sunset over the rockies.
It was awesome.
I took a few pictures but can’t down load them until I get home because my laptop doesn’t have the access to do it.

Anyway the day was a long one and I am about ready to wash my face and brush my teeth and crash.
I got maybe three and a half hours of sleep last night and even though I took an hour nap while we were driving through Kansas, I am pooped.

I hope everyone had a great Tuesday and I will write more tomorrow.

kind of humid

we are sitting on Sunday afternoon and it is kind of  humid out.
According to the weather channel we are in for some major big storms tonight.

Kansas had some bad tornado’s last night.

I haven’t heard if there were any people killed but it looked bad.

at any rate nothing happening on my end but watching my grand girls.

another day in the life of Nana

I have had the youngest grand daughters since ten thirty Friday morning and we had another eventful night last night.
Kayla went to bed at a eight thirty but it took me singing to her and laying down with her to get her to go to sleep.
Keira told me after I came out of my bedroom that she was tired so we went in to bed at eight forty five and she was asleep before nine ten.

Kayla woke up at one fifteen and was awake and talking to herself until two thirty then she got fussy and I gave her a five ounce bottle.
She went back to sleep and slept till six thirty.

It is going on ten am now and she just went back to sleep at nine thirty.

Keira woke up at four thirty and wanted to watch Shrek, so she did and she was back asleep before six.

I love my grand babies so much.
They are wonderful beautiful gifts from God.
But I won’t lie to you.
I will be thrilled to go to bed tonight and sleep all night without being interrupted.

So while Keira is playing here with her babies and pretending that she is “mom”

and Kayla is sleeping.
I have a few quiet moments before round  twelve………. or forty begins.

had my grand girls over last night but didn’t get a lot of sleep due to Keira being up from two AM on.

She is NOW taking a three hour nap.
Both her parents went in to try and wake her but she is that sound asleep.

I love her so very much but it is hard to have patience when I am so tired and she is being rambunctious little terd.

Saturday

my youngest son and his wife are here and we are watching movies he got through NetFlex

“The Day the Earth Stood Still” first and then “Mama Mia”

I haven’t seen  either one so it should be interesting.

It is cool out and rainy about twenty degrees cooler then yesterday so…that is kind of a bummer.
BUT…hey I am on vacation so I guess I will just bum…..and enjoy my vacation.

Good Friday morning to you

I have been up for nearly an hour and got my walk in on the treadmill over with.
Now isn’t that a good way to start the day?

am planning a day of bumming and soaking up some rays.
My white legs need a tan.

And I am sure I will have the little ones tonight to have over night.

We need to change the oil in the car before we leave for our trip out west and get one or two other supplies…..

but this weekend will be a good one for cleaning window blinds and windows.

Nothing too wonderful but…hey I am on vacation so….I don’t need a lot to make me happy.
Just sunshine and feeling good oh yeah and my little gifts from God.

It’s good to be us

Bucky Covington sings this song “It’s good to be us”

he is a country singer.
It is a up beat song and is kind of neat just to hear a good feeling song.

I guess he was on American Idol a couple of years ago before I started watching.
He didn’t win it but he was on it.

At any rate….I am flipping through the channels of the TV and it is on so I stopped to listen to it.
