I can take this kind of Monday

I am off of work today because we have a signed contract to only work 280 days a year at my job.
Well this year we had 281 days to work so we all were given a day off without pay.
It was cheaper for the school district to do this then to pay us all for another day.
So I am off today.
Love it… and would be thrilled to never have to work on a Monday.
Of course then Tuesday’s would be the dreaded day.

but as a wise man once told me (may he rest in peace) that you have to have a Monday to get to a Friday.

And that is so true.
Still I love not being at work.
The sun is shining and it is a very pretty day out, nice and cool and I plan on trying to write some more and laying out in the sun to tan.
Not too eventful but it costs nothing and that is fine with me.

The writing bug is BACK!!!!

I have been writing the last seven hours.
Time has flown and the words are just flowing right out of me.
or I should say they were.
now it is a bit forced but I am tired and it is ten thirty after all.
Hopefully I will be able to write more tomorrow since I am off and no one will be here.

I love to write.
IF only I could make it big and become a writer full time!!!
If only.
But this is a hobby and a passion even if it will never come to anything.
Still it was a great seven hours.

A beautiful day

The sun is shining and the air is much cooler and that makes for a beautiful day here in Iowa.
Love the cooler temps and no humidity!!!
If only it could be like this forever!!!!

No big plans for the day.
Want to work in my yards (yes alas I have two of them, along with two houses) and just enjoy the day off and the wonderful weather.
God is surely smiling down on us today.

Cinnamon

My dog got hit by a car last night and was killed.
It made me cry because she was such a fantastically good dog.
She was so good and so undemanding and just wonderful.
I named her Cinnamon because she was rusty cinnamon color.
She was 12 in human years so that made her ……how old in dog years?
Do you take it times 7?
I think so…so that made her 94…..so she was old but she was perfect.
The best dog I have ever had.
Love you Cinnamon, and I hope there are all kinds of doggy bones in dog heaven.

Up at four thirty

well it is bright and early on this Saturday morning.
My little seven month old grand daughter got up and isn’t showing any sign of wanting to go back to sleep
oh she rubs her eyes but every time I try to put her down she starts playing again and talking and babbling.

I love her dearly but I would really like to go back to sleep

Right now she is sitting on the floor at my feet playing with a musical table thingy that she has.
Occasionally she will let out a screech of “Da da da da da!” or do some high pitched scream
But she is content to just sit there and play.

She is adorably sweet and incredibly beautiful.
and I love her more then I love my own life

I am betting she will fall asleep right before her sister wakes up.

Isn’t that how it goes?

It’s Friday!!

I had a quiet day at work and didn’t over work myself.
I have a weekend ahead of me, three days!!!
Have to work three days and then I am off six!!!

can’t beat that.

Have my baby girls here shortly and they are staying over night and other then going out to eat and getting a few groceries tomorrow no plans for the weekend.
I do hope to sunbathe on Monday and maybe my husband and I can hit a movie this weekend.
There are two I want to see.
“The Taking of Pelham 123″ and “My sister’s keeper”

which I read that book and I can’t imagine the movie is as good but I will be willing to give it the benefit of the doubt.

Michael Jackson dies

50 years old and he suffers cardiac arrest and dies.
Hard to believe.
I never believed he molested children and I always felt he got a bum rap because of who he was.

I thought he went over board with his looks because when he made the album “Thriller” he was handsome.
Why he changed his looks so drastically I don’t know, but I guess when you have money you can do what ever you want to your face.

Anyway I will mourn him, because he was the king of Pop and he had a great talent
And everyone knows who Michael Jackson was.

Like everyone knows who Elvis was or John Wayne or numerous others

I hope you have peace Michael
